Racing competition in Amsterdam
for companies

The trouble with most team outings is that half the group joins in and the rest watches. That cannot happen here: everyone is in the same race, nobody has to be good at anything, and the scoreboard picks no favourites. Up to fourteen colleagues at once, larger groups in heats towards one final standing. We run it, you arrange nothing on the day.

Why nobody sits this one out

You know the pattern: the sporty colleagues throw themselves in, and a group hangs back at the bar feeling out of place. Racing does not do that. You do not need a licence, you do not need to have driven before, and the crew explains the controls in a minute. What is left is nerve and braking points, and that spreads across a team differently than you would expect.

That is also what gets people talking. Nobody discusses drinks on Monday; they do discuss the intern who beat the director. The final standing is sent over afterwards, so there is something to circulate and something to beat next year.

Forty people, no queue

The biggest gripe at a group outing is waiting your turn. Fourteen people race at once, and anyone who has finished moves straight on to the free-roam arena or the arcade; those are in the same space, so your group stays together. Coming with forty? Then we run heats and all times feed into one ranking, so it stays a real competition. Our crew runs that, not you.

What's coming in October

From October we'll be tracking scores across visits, not just within one session. A team that raced in March and comes back in November will be racing against its own record from last time. A leaderboard with prizes is on the way, and we're doing the same for the VR games, including titles we set up specially for a group.

Want to be in from the start? Mention it with your request and we'll set your competition up so the results count towards it later.

Frequently asked questions

You bring your team to the A'DAM Tower and race on full simulator rigs: a real seat, a force-feedback wheel and pedals, on screens rather than in a VR headset. Up to fourteen people race the same race at once. The difference from just racing is that there's a ranking attached and a result afterwards.

From 10. Below that you can obviously still race, but a competition with heats and a final becomes a bit much.

No. No licence and no experience needed; the crew explains the controls in about a minute and puts everyone on a suitable circuit. In practice, the person with the most expensive car doesn't win.

Team packages start at €39.50 per person, excluding VAT, and run to €95.50 with food and drinks included. We put it into a tailored proposal, on invoice.

Yes. Several sessions spread across days count towards one final standing per company. Useful when not everyone can make the same day.

We'd actually recommend it. Racing is 30 minutes; the free-roam arena, the escape rooms and the arcade fill out the rest of the programme, and the bar is in the same space.
