Planning a company outing at A'DAM VR

1 · What's here
Nobody in Amsterdam combines these four under one roof. That isn't a marketing line but the outcome of a comparison with the VR and event venues in the city: every competitor does one or two of them.
Free-roam VR — you walk around freely with your group inside a virtual world, headset on, no cables. You see each other, you talk to each other, you work together.
Sim racing — against each other on the same track, with a leaderboard on screen. Consistently where the competitiveness comes from, and it works well as a closer.
Arcade — free play on tokens. Works best while the rest are eating or at the bar; nobody has to wait for anyone.
VR escape rooms, roller coaster and motion rides — short, intense, and suited to anyone who'd rather not walk around.
2 · The building is half the programme
We're in the A'DAM Tower, and if you have to organise an outing that isn't an address detail but the biggest practical advantage we have. Your group never has to leave the building.
That removes exactly what usually derails an outing: transfers. No coach between two venues, no group scattering halfway, no second supplier to coordinate with. The same building holds A'DAM Lookout with its view over the city, the swing over the edge, and food and drinks with that same view.
It's your weather plan too. Everything is indoors. An outing built around a terrace or an outdoor activity falls apart in the rain — this one doesn't.
And it solves the mixed-group problem. Anyone who doesn't want a headset on has something here that's worth doing in its own right, instead of waiting for the rest to finish.

4 · What suits which group

5 · What's taken care of
- Professional hosts at every activity — nobody has to read a manual.
- Dutch and English-speaking hosts, so nobody has to translate for international teams.
- BBQ and drinks packages on site, no external caterer needed.
- Meeting room for a presentation or kick-off before the fun part.
- Parking in the building.
- One invoice afterwards, in the company name, on the usual payment terms.

Prices include VAT. Exclusive hire of the whole park is possible Monday to Friday from 24 people, with a minimum spend. Catering and packages on request — one quote, one invoice.
7 · When to plan
- October to December is busiest — nearly a third of the entire business year. If you want a date in November, be there in the first week of October.
- Measured lead time: about four weeks. For December and for large groups that's too short.
- March is the second peak. January and February are quiet — the moment with the most choice if you're flexible.
- August is the quietest month of the year.
8 · Practical
- Getting there. Behind Amsterdam Central is the ferry to Buiksloterweg; it runs continuously and is free. The tower is on the other side.
- Clothing. Ordinary clothes, closed shoes. Free roam means moving — no sportswear needed, just something comfortable.
- Glasses fit under the headset.
- Motion sickness. Free roam moves with you and rarely causes complaints; the motion rides do. If you're sensitive to it, do arcade or racing.
